Dr. Guerrero is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. After completing his residency training, he worked as an academic hospitalist for several years. He was awarded “Arizona Hospitalist of the Year” by the American College of Physicians for his efforts in patient care and teaching.

He has been involved in both clinical and laboratory research, which he has presented at national meetings. He received a Conquer Cancer Merit Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology for work in clinical trials that sought to improve the effectiveness of immunotherapy in solid tumors.

Dr. Guerrero believes in caring for each patient as an individual, incorporating their priorities and values into a personalized, evidence-based treatment plan. He values a compassionate and honest approach with his patients, focused on preserving quality of life and helping them to meet their goals.

When not treating patients, Dr. Guerrero enjoys spending time with family, traveling, hiking, and playing guitar.
