Dr. Ben O’Neill Donovan – an Arizona native – specializes in urology, with an emphasis on pediatric urology. His pediatric urology expertise includes complex urethral reconstruction, laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic pyeloplasty, ureteral reimplant and orchidopexy, as well as bladder reconstruction and urinary diversion. He also has expertise in minimally invasive, robotic and laparoscopic surgeries.
Dr. Donovan is one of the founders of Valley Urology Specialists, a premier urology practice in partnership with HonorHealth. He joined Arizona Center for Cancer Care in 2010 when his former team at Valley Urology Associates entered into a strategic partnership with the organization. Dr. Donovan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Arizona State University and his Medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He completed additional training in general surgery, followed by a residency in urology at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. Dr. Donovan further advanced his expertise through a fellowship in pediatric urology at the Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma, where he trained under world-renowned pediatric urologist Bradley P. Kropp.
Dr. Donovan is a member of the American Urologic Association, Endourologic Association, American Academy of Pediatrics and American Medical Association. He has his Pediatric Urology Subspecialty Certification by the American Board of Urology. He is a multi-year “Top Doc” honoree by Phoenix Magazine.
