Attitude is Part of Fighting Cancer

Trebek says “In truth, normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I am continuing to work with the love and support of my family and friends . I will beat this disease.

He continues by saying “The doctors tell me they have not seen this kind of positive result in their memory … some of the tumors have already shrunk by more than 50 percent.”

 About Pancreatic Cancer

Pancreatic cancer is the third leading cause of cancer related deaths in the United States. It is usually diagnosed in advanced or metastatic stages. Above all, answering a few questions can help determine if you qualify for research about the early detection of pancreatic cancer:

  • Do you have one or more family members who have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer?
  • Have you personally undergone genetic testing, and have you been told that you have a genetic mutation that puts you at increased risk for pancreatic cancer?
  • Have you been diagnosed with a pancreatic cyst called intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you may benefit from participation in early detection research that will address your potential pancreatic cancer risk factors.
