Heather M. Anderson is a nurse practitioner at the Arizona Center for Cancer Care. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and a minor in Microbiology in 1997. In 2004 she graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with an Associate of Science degree in nursing. Less than ten years later, she earned her Master of Science degree in nursing.
Prior to joining Arizona Center for Cancer Care, Anderson gained a variety of experience, including working as a senior lab technician at the Fairfax Cryobank and as a registered nurse at Georgetown University Hospital, The Center for Laser Surgery and Van Dyke Laser & Skin. As a nurse practitioner at Pinnacle Oncology Hematology Heather has a special interest in working with breast cancer patients.
In addition to Anderson’s schooling and work experience, she holds various certificates and licenses. She is certified by the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support. She has completed the Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider course and in 2013 she became certified as an Advanced Oncology Nurse Practitioner.
In her spare time Heather enjoys running marathons and competing in long distance triathlons.

Biography
Marcia completed a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science at Arizona State University. She then went on to complete a dual degree program in Physician Assistant Studies as well as a Master of Health Professions Education at Midwestern University.
Marcia has worked in breast surgery for over 14 years and has been heavily involved in research in breast cancer and breast disease. She received special recognition in surgery by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She has 27 publications, and on 4 of them, she was first author. In 2013, she was awarded the American Academy of Physician Assistants Paragon Publishing Award. She has also been recognized by the American Academy of Physician Assistants as a Distinguished Fellow.
Marcia is committed to reducing disparities in healthcare and reducing barriers to cancer care. She has designed and implemented a program to improve understanding of breast cancer concepts in undereducated patients. She works hard to ensure that patients are well informed of their options and have the information necessary to be empowered to make important decisions about their treatment. She has great experience working with patients from varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds and is a certified Spanish interpreter.
In her free time, Marcia enjoys the simple things in life. She loves to be with her husband and two daughters. Personal wellness including nutrition and fitness are high priorities, and she has been regularly practicing yoga for over 20 years. She is a volunteer with the Girl Scouts, and enjoys hiking and camping.

Dr. Kimberli Cox specializes in treating benign and malignant breast disease. She has a special interest in breast conservation and minimally invasive techniques. With this emphasis, she helps each patient choose the best surgical and oncologic results while preserving as much normal breast tissue as possible.
Dr. C ox joined Arizona Center for Cancer Care in 2015 when Comprehensive Breast Center of Arizona entered into a partnership with them. After completing undergraduate and graduate degrees at California State University, Dr. Cox graduated from Flinders University of South Australia. She completed her general surgery training at Pennsylvania State University Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and a Breast Surgical Oncology fellowship at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey/UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Hospital.
Dr. Cox enjoys hiking in the Arizona foothills and Bikram yoga. She travels and, in particular, enjoys the beautiful culture and history of the Asian countries.

Dr. Davis is a fellowship trained breast surgeon specializing in benign and malignant diseases of the breast. He focuses on a multidisciplinary team approach which encompasses the entire care of the patient from their initial diagnosis until complete post-operative recovery. He has a clinical interest for the adolescent population, lympho-venous bypass, minimally invasive surgical techniques and oncoplastic reconstruction.
He was born and raised in Chicago, IL and completed undergraduate training at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Subsequently he attended the Medical College of Wisconsin followed by General Surgery Residency at Creighton University School of Medicine in Phoenix, Arizona. Ultimately Dr. Davis completed his prestigious Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota
Dr. Davis is an editor for various journals with over 50 publications including oral and poster presentations to date. He is the leading author on several manuscripts focusing on advanced stage breast cancer, idiopathic granulomatous mastitis and the management of adolescent breast masses. He strives to raise the bar in the advancement of breast cancer management and technology.
As the lead breast surgeon for the Multidisciplinary Breast Tumor Board he has a special interest in the management of complex breast cases. He is involved in enrolling patients into national research studies and clinical trials. Dr. Duchini is a Board Certified, Fellowship Trained Breast Surgical Oncologist and Oncoplastic Reconstructive Surgeon with over 13 years of experience. She was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania and completed her medical training at the Lake Erie School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her surgical training at the University of Pittsburgh Horizon and spent time at the Cleveland Clinic specifically learning Breast Surgery. Dr. Sommer R. Gunia is one of the few sub-specialty Fellowship Trained Breast Surgical Oncologists in Scottsdale and is committed to the evaluation and treatment of breast disease. She is dedicated to brining the highest level of breast care to the valley by incorporating her expertise in the newest technologies and advancements available for both the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Her training included oncoplastic surgical technique, which combines the principles of cancer removal with optimal cosmetic results.
Dr. Gunia joined Arizona Center for Cancer Care in 2015 when Comprehensive Breast Center of Arizona entered into a partnership with them. Dr. Gunia earned her undergraduate degree at Arizona State University. She obtained her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She completed her general surgery training through Ohio University and further specialized in Breast Surgical Oncology at Akron General Medical Center in Ohio.

A specialist in treating breast diseases, Dr. Moorthy practices oncoplastic breast surgery, which combines sound oncology principles with plastic surgery techniques. The goal is to obtain wider surgical margins for complete removal of the breast tumor and minimize the risk of recurrence, while still providing the best possible cosmetic results. She performs nipple sparing mastectomy, and participates in a national registry.

After years of surgically treating breast cancer, Dr. Nakamura is eager to focus her expertise on counseling patients on its prevention. She is the Director of the Cancer Prevention Clinic at the Comprehensive Breast Center of Arizona which educates and follows patients with a higher risk of developing breast cancer. Her goal is to empower patients with increased awareness and a strategy for early detection or risk reduction. Being a fellowship trained breast surgeon, she is uniquely qualified to discuss preventative surgeries. Dr. Nakamura completed her Breast Surgery Oncology fellowship at the University of California with the nationally renowned breast surgeon, Dr. Melvin Silverstein, and has contributed a chapter in his book. She graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed General Surgery residency at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia. In her spare time, she is an avid softball mom and enjoys spending time with her family.

Dr. Sigalove specializes in treating both benign and malignant diseases of the breast. Experienced in minimally invasive techniques, she focuses on care with compassion, and emphasizes the team approach to fighting cancer. She strives to achieve the most optimal cancer treatment with the least amount of disfigurement to the breast.
Partnering with her husband, a reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Sigalove helped advance novel surgical techniques that minimize pain, maximize recovery, and enhance the appearance of the reconstructed breast. With multiple publications, she actively lectures and continues to teach the technique of nipple sparing mastectomy with pre-pectoral reconstruction.
Dr. Sigalove held the position of Breast Program Director at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital and Health System Clinician at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She was selected by her peers as “Top Cancer Doctor” in Chicago Magazine in 2017 and was chosen as “Top Doctor” by Castle Connolly in 2014 and 2017.
Dr. Sigalove is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and completed her surgical residency at Rush Medical Center and Cook County Hospital in Chicago. She graduated from Rush Medical College and obtained her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University.
